« Back to Glossary IndexA curtainwall is a exterior surface mounted to the outside of the building which is designed to stand various forces but not take any of the buildings dead load. The curtain wall is typically made of a metal frame and glass inseerted into the frames. Curtain wall sits off of the floor slabs or beams and not in between.
