Wajax has announced an exclusive distribution partnership with Kenki Technology Group (KTEG) that will expand the array of Hitachi equipment available to Wajax customers.
KTEG is a Hitachi Japan/Kiesel Technology joint venture combining Hitachi’s design with KTEG’s engineering to create advanced industrial solutions. Through the venture, Kenki Technology Group’s current portfolio of products and solutions will be available across Canada through Wajax. Wajax says the products being added to its dealership network will serve its customers in demolition, heavy construction, civil engineering, material handling, and rental businesses with a focus on project scope enhancement, flexibility, assist systems, quick coupling solutions and the introduction or enhancement of electrification on-site.
“What KTEG brings is an expansion of the Hitachi’s portfolio, giving our customers more options in how they approach project obstacles,” stated Lee McMartin, vice-president of Wajax’s construction and forestry division. “These industries are rapidly shifting towards products that can offer tech-forward solutions, whether that’s with the goal of improving their environmental impact or their job site efficiencies. We’re incredibly excited to offer our customer base these KTEG products because it’s the perfect response to that need.”
The portfolio of products includes Hitachi’s lineup of electric excavators and the Boom Quick Connect System (BQC).
“We’re incredibly excited to bring KTEG to the Canadian market,” said Harald Thum, managing director of KTEG. “What we’ve focused on is creating solutions that meet here-and-now needs, things that can immediately and significantly impact a business’ operations, and we believe that with Wajax, we can get those products out to Canadian businesses across the country and see them in action.”
