The Vancouver Regional Construction Association (VRCA), in partnership with Canadian Construction Women (CCW), is presenting the second annual LEAP: Women in Construction Conference on Friday, March 7. The event, which will be held at the Pan Pacific Vancouver, coincides with International Women’s Day and aims to inspire and empower women within the construction sector.
Building upon the success of its inaugural event last year, LEAP organizers say that this year’s program will continues to provide a platform for learning, networking and fostering a sense of community among women in construction, explaining that the conference theme, “Building Futures,” reflects a commitment to elevating and uplifting women by encouraging them to take bold steps forward in their careers.
The event’s keynote speaker, Michelle Cederberg, will share insights on optimizing performance in today’s demanding world. Cederberg is a high-performance coach and author of The Success Energy Equation, which promotes achievement through a focus on health and energy management.
Additional sessions include career development with Jillian Climie of Thoughtful Co., and toolbox sessions focused on such topics as leadership under pressure, embracing self-compassion, amplifying strengths and repairing trust.
