The east tower at Forma is taking shape in Downtown Toronto. In this southeast facing drone shot by UrbanToronto Forum contributor hawc, The future 73-storey skyscraper — the first of a pair coming to either side of the King and Duncan streets intersection just across from David Pecaut Square, Metro Centre, and Roy Thomson Hall — has just reached its 7th storey, the first of its tower floors above the 6-storey podium. OCAD University gets floors 2, 3, and 4, while residential amenities will take the 5th and 6th floors. Look closely and you’ll see that forming for the 6th floor partially steps back from the larger podium floors below, allowing for an outdoor terrace. As more forming of the 7th floor is completed, it will step back too, but at the southeast corner, defining the floor plate for the next 32 storeys before Forma’s form shifts again.
