In this dramatic drone shot by UrbanToronto Forum contributor hawc of the Cherry Street bascule bridge in Toronto’s Port Lands, the bridge has been reopened after work to repair it in the winter of 2025. The repair and repainting work, very obviously, is only half done at this point, and another closure of the bridge will follow over the winter of 2026 to complete the job. In the meantime, the bridge is ready both for vehicles and for it to be raised and lowered again for ships to pass.
