Natural Resources Canada says the Canada Greener Homes Loan (CGHL) has been successful throughout Canada. As a result, the program’s funding will soon be fully allocated and the application portal will close. The last day to submit an application will be Oct. 1. Loan applications will not be accepted after this date. The program notes submitting an application does not guarantee approval or funding. Applications will be processed in the order they are received until all funding has been allocated.
To submit a loan application, pre-retrofit EnerGuide evaluation results must first be submitted to Natural Resources Canada by the energy advisor’s service organization. Applicants are encouraged to speak with their energy advisors before incurring any costs to confirm whether they can meet the loan application deadline. If meeting the deadline is possible, homeowners should schedule evaluations immediately.
