908 St Clair West has topped off in Toronto’s St Clair West Village. The 12-storey mixed-use condominium, designed by TACT Architecture with Cumulus Architects as Architect of Record for Canderel Residential and KingSett Capital, rises on the northwest corner of St Clair Avenue West and Alberta Avenue. The project has advanced steadily since UrbanToronto’s last update in July, 2023, shortly after the ground breaking.
In January, 2025, excavation for the two-level garage was complete, with the crane having been installed in December, 2024. Decking for the P1 slab was taking shape around the crane base, supported by shoring posts, while newly poured perimeter walls and interior columns were rising. Near the northwest corner, the caisson wall is fully exposed, supported by a pair of canted steel rakers. Construction crews and excavators operate at the base of the excavation.
Looking northwest in April, 2025, the project had reached grade with the ground-floor slab formed and crews preparing for first-storey walls with rebar cages and formwork. The crane hoists a concrete bucket near a heavily reinforced shear-wall, where workers on a scissor lift attend to conduit and steel. Workers are spread across the grade slab, with a flatbed loaded with rebar and a concrete mixer truck staged along Alberta Avenue.
From Alberta Avenue in May, 2025, the podium was advancing with the taller ground-floor volume fully formed along St Clair and the ground-floor mezzanine taking shape for the future live-work units to the north. Formwork panels are installed for the next level, alongside cured concrete columns on the right, marking the northward projection of the four-storey podium massing that will frame Alberta Avenue.
By August, 2025, the structure had climbed to seven storeys, with formwork and decking advancing for the eighth-floor slab. A clear step-back is visible at the sixth level, where parapet walls mark the transition to the upper floors. Along the St Clair West frontage, the projecting seventh-floor balcony slab is poured. Each level is braced by rows of shoring posts, while branded hoarding lines the sidewalk beneath the scaffolded pedestrian canopy.
This month, looking northwest from St Clair and Alberta avenues, the structure has now topped off. Precast brick-look cladding in grey tones is largely in place from the second to seventh levels, framing punched-window openings fitted with the project’s black-mullioned glazing system and louvres up to the fourth floor. Vertical runs of exposed yellow weatherproofing signal upcoming installation of dark spandrel panels along the St Clair frontage, while completed balcony edges on the seventh floor contrast with the concrete projection at the ninth. To the east, the construction hoist rises beside the crane, and along Alberta Avenue, a blue telescopic boom lift reaches between the third and fourth floors.
908 St Clair West now rises to 44.8m and will deliver 173 condominium units when complete.
