The 14-storey scheme, Heron’s Yard, located on Heber Street, will comprise a mixture of 294 studios and 117 shared cluster flats.
Designed by architect SimsponHaugh, the Heron’s Yard project is the final phase of Downing Plaza, delivered over the last decade, comprising Newcastle University Business School, over 1,800 student bedrooms, a 183-room hotel, and extensive retail space.
George Tyson, projects director at Downing, said that Heron’s Yard has been designed to a BREEAM Excellent standard and sustainable features are included throughout the development.
