As Toronto increasingly becomes a city of glass, there are still reminders of our past in most pockets of the city. In this image by UrbanToronto Forum contributor AlbertC from St Nicholas Street just south of St Joseph Street, while the recently built Wellesley on the Park acts as view terminus, and another glass tower is going up below the crane, the scene is dominated by brick, which not only forms the alley’s walls, but its pavement as well.
