To round up our look at grids in this week’s set of Daily Photos, we have a close up by Tito Faria of work going on at the north silo at Bathurst Quay, as posted on our thread for the ongoing revitalization there by Bryan Bowen, who is overseeing the restoration of the grain silos on behalf of the City of Toronto. Some of the work crew appear on various levels of the huge scaffold erected at this Toronto Harbour site, as they clean and treat the concrete of this industrial port structure. While the whole site is being rehabbed as new waterfront parkland, the silos are being sealed against the elements, with their future use still to be determined. Initial work on the south silo was recently completed; you can see what it looks like now in this post.
