For years, Eglinton Avenue has been Toronto’s main mid-city crosstown arterial, even as most of it has been lined with just two-storey buildings. While frequent bus service has plied the street for years, that’s soon to be most replaced by the new Line 5 Crosstown LRT… whenever it finally opens… and while the transportation situation is growing up, so too is the housing stock, with denser developments popping up all along the line over the coming years. In this image by UrbanToronto Forum contributor Urban Chairman, The Forest Hill Condominiums at Bathurst Street, one of the first of the new wave of denser developments that are arriving with the new transit line, catches late day sun on its northern face.
