GENOA, ITALY — Italy-based engineering firm RINA has announced it has bought Chicago-based Patrick Engineering Ltd. as a step toward expanding its presence in the U.S. market.
Patrick has 340 employees in 19 offices mainly located in the northeast of the U.S. Patrick will be integrated into RINA Consulting, a subsidiary of the RINA Group, stated a release.
Notable Patrick projects have included program and construction management on the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority’s Red/Orange Line Transformation Program, valued at $1.2 billion; and technical consulting and program management services for American Electric Power in Ohio on a project valued at $650 million.
The acquisition will add competencies, continue its international expansion and position the firm to support its international clients better, RINA stated.
