The Sisk/BDP design, which Dalkia will deliver, incorporates air source heat pumps as a central element of the hospital’s decarbonisation strategy, reducing reliance on fossil fuels and improving long-term energy performance.
As the new centre is being built within the hospital’s existing footprint, the construction methodology and MEP programme has been designed to ensure the hospital remains fully operational and causes minimal disruption.
Dalkia will lead the installation and commissioning of the complete MEP services for the new facility, supporting BDP as the lead designer.
This encompasses all building services infrastructure required to support advanced clinical functions, patient care areas and specialist treatment spaces. The project is also set to become the first major healthcare development to progress through the Building Safety Act Gateway process.

Sisk started construction last year with piling work due to be completed this month and the centre ready to welcome its first patients in 2029.
