Canadian Contractor has added a widget to our home page linking to the Statistics Canada Building Permits Interactive Dashboard. The dashboard shows the most recent value of building permits information available, with the ability to select for regions, values/change, residential/non-residential and time ranges. There are a lot of construction activity statistics out there, but we think building permit value trends are one of the best for evaluating future market conditions.
