Milwaukee Tool Canada has donated 100 tool kits to United Association Canada (UA) to support journeypersons and apprentices in the plumbing and pipefitting industries. The company says the donation aims to provide UA members with the essential tools needed to succeed in their careers.

“We are proud to continue expanding our partnership with UA Canada and their 33 training centres across the country,” said, Bryan Dunjko, group marketing manager at Milwaukee Tool. “They provide first-class training to the piping trade industry, and this donation is just one way Milwaukee Tool can support UA Canada and the training of future trade leaders across the country.”

The donation will help ensure that UA members have access to the latest in tools built to withstand the demands of everyday applications. The kits will be distributed to 30 UA training centres across Canada. UA Canada represents more than 61,000 skilled piping professionals in 10 Red Seal trades, offering collective bargaining, training, support and advocacy.

“The support we’ve received for the apprenticeship system, especially in schools, has been invaluable. From a safety point of view, the switch to battery means no cords to trip over. In our training facilities, you don’t have that tripping hazard, which has been outstanding and is the primary reason we switched to using Milwaukee throughout,” said Jamie McPherson, training specialist with UA Canada.
