Moncton, N.B., city council has amended its planning bylaws to allow up to four dwelling units in structure on a residential lot, according to CBC reports. It joins St. John, Fredericton, Halifax, St. John’s and Summerside, P.E.I., in making changes to allow more units per lot. The changes come in response to Ottawa’s Housing Accelerator Fund, which matches funds municipalities spend on housing infrastructure subject to certain conditions including densification.
