However, OpenSpace is aiming to address that reality with the general availability of OpenSpace Field, a new mobile, image-based solution designed to bring visual intelligence directly into day-to-day field execution.
Announced February 3, 2026, OpenSpace Field represents a significant expansion of the OpenSpace platform. Long known as a system of visual record, OpenSpace is now positioning itself as a system of visual action, connecting reality captured on site directly into the workflows that drive project delivery. And rather than replacing existing project management tools, OpenSpace Field integrates tightly with platforms many contractors already use, including Procore and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
Turning field data into action, while work is still moving
At its core, OpenSpace Field is built for how construction teams actually work in the field. Using a smartphone-first workflow, site teams can create punch list items, observations and issues in real time during site walks without waiting until the end of the day or re-entering information back at the office. And every task is grounded in visual and spatial context, helping ensure issues are clearly understood, properly assigned and actually resolved.

Spatial AI enables faster, more precise issue tracking
A key differentiator of OpenSpace Field is its use of Spatial AI. One standout capability is AI Autolocation, which automatically identifies and tags where an issue occurred on site without manual pinning or additional hardware. The technology effectively enables indoor location awareness in real time, addressing an ongoing challenge on complex projects.
AI Voice Notes further reduce friction in the field by allowing hands-free issue capture. More than simple transcription, the tool interprets natural language, fills out form fields and helps ensure issues are captured completely and consistently.
An enhanced camera experience and AI-powered Media Library round out the release, making it easier to capture, organize and retrieve jobsite imagery. And an AI search, tuned specifically for construction, allows teams to quickly find images based on keywords or context.
Early results show meaningful time savings
Early access users are already reporting tangible gains, including T&H Investments, which has stated that OpenSpace Field has reshaped its quality control and inspection process.
“What used to take 3 to 4 hours now takes 30 minutes, and issues no longer get missed or ignored,” says Zach Shirley, the company’s Senior Construction Project Manager. “With every item documented by photo and exact location, our subcontractors know exactly what to fix, and we can clearly verify it was done.
