It was difficult to pick which photo to feature from a recent post by UrbanToronto Forum contributor flonicky for yesterday’s Daily Photo, so then why pick when there’s always another day waiting? Today, the deep vermillion-red, oversized neo-Victorian fountain in the forecourt of the Four Seasons Hotel and Residences — deepened by being backlit by a The One-eclipsed sun, and festooned with strings of lights — takes pride of place in this photo by flonicky, even in silhouette. Designed by CCxA as a water feature, the wind in the forecourt proved uncooperative, so the fountain has to be appreciated for its form instead of its resultingly outsized ability to humidify. Behind and to its left, The One looks saintly, canonized by a solar halo.
