The sun sets over another week in Toronto, one which saw visitors from across the globe arrive to talk tall: the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat’s annual conference began on Monday, announcing a change of name to the Council on Vertical Urbanism, and then finished off its activities on Thursday at the Westin Harbour Castle Conference Centre at Bay and Queens Quay. Immediately to that building’s northeast is Pinnacle One Yonge’s SkyTower now rises about 90 storeys into the air, about six storeys short surpassing the 300 metre mark, and on its way to becoming Canada’s tallest building.
