An easy way to do this on a construction project is through a weekly status report. But what exactly is a weekly status report and how can it be used on a construction project?

A weekly status report is a document issued on a regular basis (weekly or bi-weekly) that provides updates for team members on key project metrics. It can be used to communicate the status of items and provide notice on risks. Subjects covered within the report typically include: schedule update, submittals, RFIs, progress photos and any major risks.
